Two grossing-stations for one and two workers, respectively, have been installed in the Pathology Laboratory of the San Cecilio Clinical Hospital in Granada with the following accessories: filters, waste tank, formaldehyde dosing tap with foot pump, double lighting Upper LED and on work surfaces, residual formalin drum with filling system with alarm and water curtain under work areas. University Clinical Hospital Lozano Blesa (Zaragoza)
Casa Alvarez carried out the renovation of the grossing room and samples reception samples room of the Laboratory of Pathology of the Clinical Hospital of Zaragoza.
The aim of this renovation is to adapt the work space to the new formaldehyde legislation, in order to minimize exposure by workers and to comply with the limit values ​​established by the INSHT (Occupational Safety Institute). As well as establishing measures of alert and action in case of exceeding the levels.
The project includes:

Note that formaldehyde level detectors have been included in the grossing stations to alert if they exceed the exposure levels stipulated by INSHT.
This project has two new equipment in the market that minimize contact with formaldehyde:

Formadose that prepares and doses the formalin automatically so the user does not have to manipulate it.
And Neutraform that is a team that neutralizes and disposes of the residual formalin easily and safety.
Both devices maintain a clean, odor-free and safe environment for workers.
The whole installation has been done with a ventilation system in negative pressure with the outside and entrance of clean air. In this way, the room is free of toxic vapors and ensures a clean and safe atmosphere for the users.
Based on the measures, spaces available and the needs they presented, a totally customized project was carried out.

We have installed in the Delegation of Lleida, a station of carving Vogel model UCSA -1800 of a position, with dimensions (1800 x 850 x 2050 mm) with lateral windows and front cover hinged of methacrylate, dispensing pump of formol with foot pedal, system formol waste with alarm, waste tank and Vogel formalin detector.
